The mission of the Gay and Lesbian Foundation of South
Florida (formerly the Dade Human Rights Foundation) is to provide significant
funding and support to community-based organizations serving the South Florida
Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgendered. To accomplish this mission, the
Foundation advances education and public awareness of GLBT issues and concerns,
identifies gaps in resources and community capacity to effectively address such
issues and concerns, fosters philanthropy and charitable giving on behalf of the
South Florida GLBT community, and supports community-based organizations serving
South Florida GLBT through grants and capacity-building activities.
